Invitations are laid at the doors of various Wet Palms denizens for the Jett company extravaganza and Gabriel Knight decides to open his on his way out of the inn forever. If he didn't have enough reason to "move on," certainly Bret Wolfe's craziness is an added bonus. Will Bret ever get to the bottom of Gabriel's true identity?
Gus Mattox meets Bubble Underwear owner Rob Romoni, giving him a videotape a departing guest left for him. Rob is there to see Gabriel, but Gus sadly informs him Gabriel has left to "find his independence." But, just then Gabriel returns, to borrow some money, natch. Rob offers Gabriel a job. "As an ass model? I'd rather have my self-respect!" Gabriel bleats. Hey, now, some of us do some heavy fantasizing about underwear models! Needing the money, Gabriel agrees to supplant Jason Ridge as the company's model and signs the contract.
Zak Spears has hired blond bombshell Drew Peters to help get rid of brother Michael Soldier. Drew doesn't want the sexual perk of taking on Zak's job, citing that he's "married now," but you don't say no to Zak Spears. Zak, porn's most dependable strapping he-man, is paired ideally with ace bottom Drew. Taking pictures as blackmail, Zak has Drew dote on his Prince Alberted-cock, which Drew does with flair. Pumping his cock, Zak effortlessly gobbles up Drew's ass and then rims his world-class ass. Drew, appealingly butcher with both nipples pierced and a swirling tattoos, still howls like a youth when Zak fucks him. Having ten tons of Zak crash at your ass is probably guaranteed to make one animated and Drew takes almost no time to shoot his load as Zak commends him with repeated "good boy" tributes. Once Zak cums, he bounds out of the room.
In one of the best-acted scenes of the entire season, Sister Roma and Brad Benton both go to Gus Mattox for help. Sister Roma is worried about Bret's behavior and Brad has the file all about Jettphetamines. It seems that Gus kept a bottle of them around to blackmail Michael, but it backfired when Gabriel was targeted by the evil Michael. The three plan a big ado at the Jett shindig that evening.
With Gabriel dressing for the party in the bathroom, Rob decides to watch the tape he was given (apparently all of these rich folks still use old-fashioned cheap VHS). On it is a particularly embarrassing sex scene that finds Ethan Marc wearing blinders as thin big-dicked Jason Crew smacks his ass. At the beginning, the scene is cleverly shot so that it looks like it's done from a hidden camera, even if it becomes more standard as it continues. Rob in incensed by the video because Ethan is his brother-in-law and he thought he was straight all this time. Gabriel, who is also supposedly straight, continues to watch the video even after Rob storms out, threatening revenge at the party. As for the sex scene, the amazingly handsome Ethan gorges himself on Jason's dick, going to the limit in sucking it. Jason doesn't make it easy for him, but Ethan is as hard a worker as they come, so he masters Jason's hugeness. Jason then sucks Ethan a bit before fucking him. The fucks in "Wet Palms" are short but potent, and few more so than this one. Jason, not worrying about character or anything else, just goes ape in Ethan's ass and plows the hell out of him. Ethan takes it in every position, including a dangerous one on the edge of a couch. Gleeful Ethan cums being fucked and then a sweaty Jason has a boffo load to end this scorching scene. "You were worth every penny," Ethan says, complimenting him for being a better hire than his usual, Jason Ridge.
Gus explains the whole Jettphetamine scandal to his old pal, detective Marcus Iron, telling him to bring the cops and the press to the party. Marcus is worried about Gus' vindictive behavior, but Gus thinks that Zak and Michael are behind the death of the man everyone thinks Gabriel is, and he wants revenge!
All of the best soap operas delight in party scenes ("Dynasty's" Moldavian Wedding, anyone?). They are an excuse to get the entire cast together, dress them up and air all of the plots in public, where gaping mouths replace those filled with expensive champagne. They are usually the climax of multiple storylines, and "Wet Palms" knows just how to work that angle. So, we come to the huge bash at West Hollywood's Abbey. There is indeed press there to cover the fancy arrivals. Missing are Joan and Melissa Rivers, but Jason Sechrest does a fine job of filling in among the clapping extras. Rob shows up with Gabriel and announces to a fascinated Jason that Gabriel is in at Bubble and Jason Ridge is out! Bret Wolfe arrives with Gus Mattox and the special surprise that he's been toting around for the past few episodes. "Good luck in all that you do and all the crack that you smoke," snarky Jason tells Bret. Jason Ridge comes with Ethan Marc, and Jason is shocked to hear that he's no longer the Bubble model. Ethan is asked about the gay rumors, but he is pulled away in time to avoid any embarrassment. Sister Roma has glammed up big time for her arrival on the red carpet, toting Peter Ross with her, still not gay, but looking it. Nomi Demilo has come all the way from New York for this superparty, followed by Ivana Tramp with Rod Barry. Her dress is from "Seymour Heinie." Jason Sechrest gets rather obnoxious having to talk to these non-stars, but he's reinvigorated when Michael Soldier and Zak Spears show up (and are booed). Zak wants none of Jason's nonsense, which one might call overacting if one were polite.
In the bathroom, Jason Ridge and Ethan are snorting drugs while Brad and Gabriel discuss "last night," when Gabriel drunkenly kissed him. Upon hearing Brad say, "it was nice to have a man in my bed again," Jason drops the candy bowl, but isn't exposed.
The party is in full swing when Michael steps up to announce the magazine's "Man of the Year." A giggly speech gives way to the big unveiling, and the crowd is SHOCKED to see who it is. SHOCKED, I tell you. Stunned into groans and silence. Just at that moment, Detective Marcus puts Michael in handcuffs and arrests him for the Jettphetamine debacle. A shot is fired. Screams are heard. Drinks are downed. A character is sprawled on the floor, shot in the heart. Is the bullet recipient about to become a chalk outline because of a cheating spouse? Because of drug usage? Because of dirty family dealings? Because of secrets exposed? Because two drag queens are wearing the same dress? Brent Blue won't be responsible for ruining a sublime surprise ...
DVD features (Disc 3): Ability to view just the sex scenes; cum-shot reviews; gallery; episode synopsis; episode credits; glamour stills; Gabriel Knight music video called "Something I Should Have Said," which is performed by Gabriel himself over a montage of his "Wet Palms" moments; trailers ("The Hole," "Jet Set Direct Take 2," "Prime Cut 9" and "Young Men in Shameless Pleasure"); no regional coding (playable worldwide).
There folks, is the finale to Season One of "Wet Palms," easily one of the most clever ideas ever to hit porn and one done with such thrilling care that the climax is just another reason to love this series. Daytime soaps don't even do it better! A gunshot, an arrest, loaded extras ... all at one party! The finale of Episode Nine sums up the entire season, loading it with the humor and sexiness that have marked every episode of the season. Far from wanting to fast-forward through plot to get to sex, I was once again totally entranced by the various plots and I can't wait to find out what happens next. Please, Jet Set, rush me the revelations and plot twists I've so loved in Season One with Season Two. I need to know. I need to know now!
