Tall, somewhat toothy and dreamy-eyed Phil Sardou comes to the door of the small mountain lodge, given to him by his father to run, lets us in to tell his heartbreaking story of love found, and love lost, and love found again.
Built like a football split-end, Phil tells us the first year was terrific because it was just he and his best friend, the swimmer-built, pug-nosed fresh faced Johan Volny (left, cover) -- and they became lovers. In the dramatically romantic way "Boys in the Snow" is shot, edited and paced (slowly, almost faux-film noir), we see the two of them frolic in the snow and settle in at last by the fireplace, where Johan shows us why he has become such a fast-rising star on the Eastern European porn scene. Sitting at Phil's feet, he runs his hands through his lover's shorts and comes up with a promising, and large, cock that he slowly and lovingly brings to what must be 10 inches of hard meat. Concentrating only on the cock and his man, Johan brings his lover to smoldering passion, resulting in Phil returning the cocksucking and kissing, the fireplace providing the lighting that carries the passion. Phil then drops to his knees, grabs the armchair and offers his hot butt to Johan, who splits him doggy and then missionary on the bear rug before they spill simultaneous loads.
Of course, it couldn't last, and as Phil tells the cameraman, something happened. Johan was driving the lodge's car in the snow, and drove off and wrecked the car. Ashamed, he ran away. Go figure. But, it sets up whatever story line the concept of love lost, financial ruin, heavy drinking, and redemption can sustain in a porn flick -- very roughly translated subtitles notwithstanding. It's best to forget the story line and just follow the action.
Phil is out one day and spies two woodchoppers. Needing fuel, he offers them a free room in return for the wood. Put up in a crummy room with another laborer, dark-haired and goateed David Dave, the blond Sebastian Smith and dark-haired goateed Alex Duno soon get to know each other better, their antics waking David, who decides that three is better than two. This is a conventional three-way that is somewhat short on steam, possibly hindered by the tight quarters that the guys find themselves in. More importantly, I think, is that like in every other scene in the movie, the soundtrack, which is lovely but very melancholy, is simply not conducive to spontaneous sex. They guys might have had a great time, but it doesn't quite make it through the sound and the tape.
Eventually, two actual guests show up -- the very twinky and very pretty Karel Gross and Bill Brown, whose exploits in the dining room awaken pangs of hunger and nostalgia in Phil. The exploits begin when the boys are having breakfast, which consists of the following menu: Curly-haired Karel sucking wavy-haired Bill's enormous sausage in a number of positions, followed by Bill fucking Karel on the table, topped off by a spectacular dessert -- each one feeding the other major loads right into the mouth, which each swizzles, swishes and swallows. The soundtrack should have been playing "You're the cream in my coffee," it's that spectacular a finish.
Phil then tells us business got back to normal, beginning (of course) with a group of boys who came for a photoshoot. After the photographer, Billy Jay, has a very brief foray into the jock of model Rocco Ulm (more of this hunk, please), which results in a nice oral cum-shot, we find two very beautiful boys, Richard Said (cover, right) and Andy Cole, alone in their room, groping and kissing. Lithe, taut and resembling each other very much (Richard has a matching set of prominent groin tattoos which keeps things straight), each is a veritable cockhound. Loving blowjobs are followed by Andy suiting up his cock in latex and taking Richard for a missionary ride on the bed, rocking side to side before propping him on his dick face-to-face for the finishing touch -- simultaneous rippling streams of cum, Richard's covering Andy's abs and Andy's completely drenching Richard's butt and asscrack.
Billy the photographer has found another prize: the handsome, famous and very dependable Cameron Jackson, who teases his lens with sweet flirting and then teases Billy with an energetic blowjob -- and Billy has a cock which is so big and thick that the usually efficient Cameron can hardly get past the head. After Billy returns the compliment, Cameron fucks him in several positions until they shoot suitable loads.
Richard then tells us that he eventually did fall in love again, with the pretty Jay Gregory, a club-boy type who makes a wonderful, if submissive lover, in their scene. Framed by good lighting and enhanced by the music (for a change), the couple comes across as lovingly comfortable, and when they slide into a side-saddle fuck with Phil providing the cock and Jay the ass, they cuddle and kiss and fuck like a well-settled couple. Phil fucks the cum out of Jay, in a quiet, loving way, then rises up, straddles his lover, and shoots a load, which Jay catches on his tongue then moves under the cock to grab it in his lips and suck the sweetness down.
The two are then captured romping in the snow in the stylized fashion of the movie's flashbacks, as a prelude to their candlelit dinner. Out of nowhere, the dining room door opens and standing there, back for love, is Johan Volny. In an awkward and badly translated encounter, he apologizes for leaving. Jay gets the message, and leaves the two alone. Frankly, I would have preferred to see a bang-up fuck fest between Johan and Phil to end the movie, but the way it proceeded throughout, it would have been out of character.
"Boys in the Snow" brings together some of the best talent in Eastern Europe in a setting that could have been either highly charged sexually, or romantically languid. That the latter course was chosen should not stand in the way of the fact that the men are beautiful, some of the scenes are really worth repeat viewings, and we can hope for more from this outfit.
