WARNING!
Mostly a writer, Gorton Hall (a pseudonym) was connected with Pat Rocco at the beginning of theatrical showings. A friend asked him to write some scripts for films. Gorton felt that if performers had the guts to fuck on film they would have the nerve to talk too and ended up proving the nay sayers wrong. He spent more time working with the performers and their dialog than was common at the time.
His first script was for Whatever Momma Wants with Jim Cassidy taking the lead.
Hall did not think he was a very good director and didn't direct the sex scenes at all, just letting the event happen and recording it on film. He worked for a flat fee because "There is no accounting. Nobody trusts anyone else."
In his personal life, Hall remained a faithful Catholic. Barry Knight and Hall were living together in 1975 but it is unclear what the relationship was.
