From Man's Image sales brochure:
While John Gamble is off to exotic locations to film, we are releasing a special set of movies made by a professional filmmaker for his private use.
Gamble and Brent Rogers attended a private screening one night, and they realized that here was a film that a lot of collectors would like to own.
Working-Class Hero is the three-part saga of a man working at three odd jobs (very odd) and the encounters that occur.
Working-Class Hero is a departure from our usual type of men and our style of filming. It was made in black & white and has a certain fifties "underground" look, although it was made about two years ago. Each part has a slow, deliberate rhythm, and a definite style so often missing in this kind of film. And a good deal of it is filmed with tongue planted firmly in cheek–when it isn't planted somewhere else.
Working-Class Hero isn't for everyone but it may be just you cup of meat.
