Partner to Al Parker for almost 14 years until Taylor's death. Steve was rarely pictured in print media and credited even less. He was the business brains behind Surge Studio while Al Parker was the artist. Steve did become the still photographer for the Surge films.

Steve Taylor founded Surge Studio along with his spouse Al Parker. Al met Steve in 1973, and they were together until Steve's death in 1986. Steve was a bearded bear, who was not only hot, but was also a rather good actor (for porn films): he could deliver dialogue convincingly. For example, in Inches (1979), he played Al's lover at the end of a failed relationship: he broke up with Al Parker (can you imagine?). Steve was in several films with Al, who either starred in or directed the film.
