While we await Mr. Bjorn's response, we can content ourselves with "Manville: The City of Men," another foray into Kristen Bjorn's divine, imaginary world of totally hot men who have totally hot sex in a fantastically realized parallel dimension. Alas, like Shangri-La, "Manville" only exists (so far anyway -- really, call us) in Bjorn's imagination. The men who populate this burg represent some of the most splendid ideals of masculinity that Bjorn has ever assembled. They include two of South Africa's chief exports, Jed Willcox and Jason Kingsley, who as tourists can't seem to wait to sample the local color.
It's a testament to the cast that although dialogue is kept to a bare minimum, the intents and aims of each player are carefully delivered throughout. The plot device that brings most of the men together is familiar to Bjorn-watchers: street cruising that leads to group sex in both public and private locations.
The first of these assignations features a trio of men, who are as diverse as they are uniformly attractive: Eric Flower, Paulão do Picão and Alex Ribeiro. Eric's creamy, smooth muscles provide the sparks that get the fire started, but Paulão and Alex stoke the sensual fire as the scene progresses. Eric tries to fit both other stud's massive, uncut dicks in his mouth, a stunning view, as is a later scene with Paulão deep-tonguing Alex's furry buttcrack, filmed in tight close-up. Multiple cum-shots, all of them beautifully captured, figure into the action. Indeed, they are liberally included throughout. With his many tattoos and tight, buff body, Alex makes a splendid and surprisingly adept power-bottom, taking Paulão's massive dick from behind. Later, Eric is on his side and takes Paulão scissor-style while Alex sucks Eric's meat. Like so many moments here, the sensuality here is achingly exquisite.
The next two scenes take us on Jason and Jed's separate erotic tours of the city. In the first, Jed plays a willing participant in his own ravaging by swarthy and ultra-hung stud Jean Franko. The scene begins with Jed getting worked over thoroughly by Jean, and while Jean is plunging into the depths of Jed's insatiable mouth and ass, smoky-eyed Rocky Oliveira watches from an archway fitted with a steel grate. Though Rocky can do little more than look on as Jed and Jean couple in the alley, his erection never flags for a second. But then, he's got a pretty great view of Jed's impressive agility as Jean insistently prongs his ass. This energetic and thrilling scene leads to a three-way in which Rocky plays a more active role. Set in an interior location, the scene features a sensational flip-flop fuck that has Rocky taking it from Jean and then Jean impaling himself on Rocky. The eye-popping action here is one of the highlights of the entire production.
As for Jason, he hits the jackpot, stud-wise, hooking up with three amazing beauties for a sizzling four-way orgy. The scene is structured in an interesting way, too: At first, Matthieu Costa and Marcello Lars voyeuristically enjoy Jason's hook-up with tall beauty Max Veneziano. Max and Jason satiate themselves in a duo that has Jason sucking Max off before he even removes his leather jacket (he does so later, just before Max fucks him doggy), and Matthieu and Marcello, still in hiding, have done the same, with Matthieu sticking it to Marcello from behind while they watch the action inside. The scene then brings all four studs together for a rocking romp in the bedroom. Jason and Marcello take turns sucking off Max and eating Matthieu's hunky butt, leading to the piece-de-resistance, Matthieu impressively getting double-fucked, for a prolonged time. Matthieu makes it look so easy and so enjoyable that everyone will want to try it (well, maybe not everyone).
One of Kristen Bjorn's best finds ever, Xavier Montenegro, takes center stage next. With an exaggerated V-shaped torso, a thick, long, uncut cock, and a face that is handsome as any Milan runway model's, the camera loves this dude (obviously, so do I). A fantasy between lovers, Xavier and David Salazar, that arises after a chance meeting on the street with another great looking couple, Gabriel Ventura and Bruno Din, fuels the action, and from the moment Xavier strips down and releases his long, luscious cock, the action takes off at a breakneck pace and never looks back. First, Xavier urges David to show him how he imagines the other studs would suck him, and later, how they would fuck him. Interspersed with the "real" action between Xavier and David is equally enthralling "imaginary" action between Gabriel and Bruno. In the end, the lines between what is real and what isn't become even blurrier -- but no matter, because it's all completely hot.
A four-man orgy that resembles nothing so much as a game of naked Twister has Italian stallion Matthias Vannelli surrounded by Carlos Caballero, Victor Cowboy and Sergio Castillo. After a kneeling Matthias sucks each in turn, a double-decker fuck is the centerpiece of the scene, with Matthias slipping into Sergio from behind as both straddle Victor, on all-fours, getting his ass reamed by Carlos. There's so much flesh on the screen at times that there is nothing else in the composition of the shot -- talk about your eye candy.
Director Kristen Bjorn can do no wrong as far as I am concerned, but the lushly produced, expertly rendered "Manville: The City of Men" proves that he just keeps getting better and better. Now, about that theme park ...

They say you can always recognize a Cole Porter song or a Van Gogh painting. So unique is the personal style of the artist that his aesthetic fingerprints are all over everything he creates. Certainly, that is also true of Kristen Bjorn, whose inimitable films have long graced the adult screen, and his most recent offering, Manville (subtitled The City of Men), could have been made by no one else.
Comprised of five vignettes, Manville appears to have been shot somewhere along the Iberian peninsula or possibly in Italy, and each of the episodes begins with a street pick-up where total strangers eye each other, begin the ominous ritual of the chase and soon connect in less-public areas of the picturesque town in which the film is set. Every scene is like a mini-symphony comprised of three or four movements, each of which is riddled with money shots throughout. Most of the cast members are garbed in black leather jackets, faded jeans and dusty boots, and once these are removed, the viewer is treated to an amazing array of stud-flesh -- rippling muscles, lubricious lips, calipigian backsides, and quivering erections. It's not difficult to recognize Bjorn Country.
In the opener, Eric Flower (that ubiquitous Eastern European star, a blond giant) passes two men (chocolate-skinned Paulao Do Pauzao and grizzled Alex Riberio, an Al Parker look-alike) on a bridge, and they check each other out before Flowers moves on. At once, the two predators give chase and follow Flower through the stonewalled streets into a walled courtyard. Flower wastes no time in offering himself to them, and soon all three are slathering one another's pumpede physiques, trading spit-soaked kisses and stripping down to reveal three equally airborne erections that are promptly serviced by one and all. In the second movement, the action moves indoors for more rimming and a delicious sandwich in which Riberio is plugged at both ends simultaneously. In the third movement, they adjourn to a bed where Flower gives up his ass to Do Pauzao before all three explode violently for the sequence finale. This is Bjorn at his most typical.
Jason Kingsley and Jed Willcox (both familiar veterans of Bjorn's films) open the second scene as they stroll the streets of the town but split when Willcox is cruised by a stubbled brunet (Jean Franko, who reminds one of the young Sal Mineo). The Franko-Willcox set-to, in another courtyard, has a rough edge to it as Franko manhandles his pick-up into giving him head before Willcox brings him off by hand. Then they shift to anal action with Franko eating out Wllcox's beefy butt before ravishing him in a no-nonsense doggie fuck. But the real star of the scene is a glamorously handsome brunet (Rocky Oliveira) who watches them through the bars of a nearby window while stroking his own impressive erection. Three money shots later, they move indoors for the second movement of the piece, which includes dick dueling, kissing, sucking, foreskin play and another round of orgasms. But the high points of the scene are the third and fourth movements, in which the dazzling Oliveira first bottoms (and comes while plugged by Franko) and then shifts to top him in a stunning double-time lap-rut that ends the scene.
Meanwhile, Kingsley is stalked by a pair of compact brunets (perky Marcello Lars and the older Matthieu Costa), but before they can connect, he spots the monumental Max Veneziano, another blond giant, this one covered with tattoos. From a nearby balcony, Veneziano throws down his keys by way of invitation, and soon Kingsley and he are going at it framed in a doorway upstairs -- kissing, stripping and trading masterful blow jobs as Lars and Costa watch through a patio window and make out. The cross-cut action hurtles forward into a lusty 69 by Kingsley and Veneziano that segues into rimming and a multipositioned fuck with the host on top. Outside, Costa works his way into Lars's bubblebutt for a standing doggie fuck, and then they are invited inside for a four-way. Things heat up as Kingsley and Venziano effortlessly double penetrate Costa, but the most torrid moments occur during the final movement as Kingsley tops Veneziano missionary on the dining table. This is the sort of scene on which Bjorn has built his reputation, and it is arguably the apex of the film.
Ingeniously structured, the fourth episode involves a pair of lovers (tall brunet Xavier Montenegro and mulatto David Salazar) who cross paths with another couple (curly haired Bruno Din and mulatto Gabriel Ventura). Both pairs go their separate ways, but back home, Montenegro and Salazar heat up their lovemaking by fantasizing about the other two. The action floats back and forth between reciprocal blow jobs by both couples before Montenegro murmurs, "Just imagine what would have happened if we'd brought them home" Then the real fun begins. All four are thoroughgoing cocksuckers and tireless fucking machines, and before the sequence is over, every one but Montenegro has given up his ass, topping and bottoming with equal enthusiasm. Salazar in particular is a consummate top, which makes his long-delayed bottoming the climax of the scene, and his fountain of a money shot while plugged is especially notable.
The final episode also focuses on two separate couples who eventually come together for a four-way. It begins with a motorcyclist (lean Matthias Vanelli) picking up the youthful brunet, Carlos Caballero and heading for a quiet country estate to suck and fuck all over the bright blue cycle parked in what appears to be a deserted drive. (Both keep their black leather gloves on throughout.) In a bedroom above them, however, they are being observed by the multitattooed Victor Cowboy and his buddy, Sergio Del Castillo, a solid hulk of a man who looks as if he might well be a pro football linebacker. They too trade blow jobs and flip-flop before inviting the other couple in for the film's grand finale. The fourway is a whirlwind of constantly shifting action, but the high point is the final movement with Caballero the unbridled centerpiece bottom.
What makes a Kristen Bjorn film so special? First off, virtually all of them are short on narrative and long on sexplay. Nearly always set in foreign climes, they invariably transport the viewer to an exotic never-neverland where he is treated to an endless parade of hypermasculine, multiorgasmic, versatile, uncut men with little on their minds except sex, and their heated encounters are recorded in vibrant camera work that captures the exotic locales and the magnificent men with equal finesse. Bjorn puts his camera in unexpected places (most particularly his amazing undershots) and again and again coaxes his performers to do things one never expects them to do. What's more, in Manville, there are, as best we could count, close to 60 exuberantly delivered, amazingly lensed orgasms -- the icing on the cake, so to speak.
