I'll try not to use all of the '60s cliches and catch phrases I thought of while watching it, but Tranny A-Go-Go knows that it's a cheesy rip-off of everything from Laugh-In to a Nancy Sinatra music video and that's okay. Even if tranny's "ain't your thing," Chi Chi LaRue crafts a clever and sometimes funny tribute to the era of big earrings, white vinyl boots and mini-skirts.
Cookie and Bunny run a club where "chicks with dicks" dance and shag with the male patrons. The trannys are all quite striking with good bodies, great hair and firm-bouncing breasts. Of course, LaRue cleverly plays many of the tranny scenes like a hetero-porn flick, not revealing the surprise under those mini-skirts until part way into the action. The men who play men are all well-hung and keep it hard, including Vince Rockland and his huge, uncut boneage.
LaRue keeps the theme going throughout and there are even cut-aways featuring patrons and trannys. At one point, a tranny wannabe is uncovered by club owner Cookie, and she's made to service doorman Tony. This results in a nice bit of real man-to-woman sex action.
Perhaps the scene that caused the biggest stir at my house was when the camera pulled back to reveal the lovely blonde tranny fucking the cute young bartender. Even my roommate Chris had to get up from the computer and walk across the hall to see what I was watching!
The film ends with some pretty funny outtakes that show that it wasn't always work durning the making of this movie. Sure, it may not be brain surgery, but LaRue entertains while drawing you in, with scenes that blur the lines and maybe open up possibilities in minds that are used to thinking in black and white.
