Next to Halloween, Valentine's Day is fast emerging as one of the favorite gay holidays of the year. Of course, most holidays are favorites in our community as they represent days of celebration and celebrating is something that we do best especially here at STUDIO 2000. Even so, Valentine's Day is a special celebration since the thing that it celebrates is love, romance and caring--feelings, conditions and commitments that are very dear to us. So before Spring when the sap of lust rises hungrily in us, we celebrate that thing beyond lust that is Valentine's Day.
In keeping with this special time comes our newest STUDIO 2000 release, Hand Of Fate, celebrating the many seasons of love--love among friends, the bittersweet end of love lost love on the cheap side, and, most important the romance and excitement of new love and the joy, hope and insanity it brings.
1997 was an especially rich year for the emergence of exciting young performers in gay adult entertainment. Along with our own very special Jeff White, one young man stood out in the crowd--Richie Fine. We didn't get around to capturing his very special qualities as soon as we might have liked but when we did catch up with him and cast him in Hand Of Fate, we got lucky. The results are the right guy in the right role at the right time.
In Hand Of Fate Richie is cast as Raymond, a young man who has been living for a number of years in a relationship with Darren (Chris Rock) who is a few years his senior. Raymond is devoted to his lover and accepts Darren's selfishness, superiority and promiscuity as givens in the situation. Early one morning, Raymond wakes Darren a bit earlier than usual and coaxes him into one of their increasingly rare moments of lovemaking. It is only when they are making love that Darren accepts Raymond as an equal. As these two hot men mold their bodies together, tenderness and passion, gentleness and intensity, ebb and flow between them in a beautiful and arousing coupling that is the stuff of true sex
Later that day, Raymond gets a call from Fred (Aaron Wilde) who is his best friend and who hates the shallowness of Raymond's relationship with Darren. Fred and his lover, Nick (Michael Rivera), insist that Raymond join them that night for a special treat Hesitantly, Raymond agrees. When Darren arrives home with his latest conquest Brad (Rod Barry), in tow, getting out of the house becomes the best thing for all of them.
Fred and Nick take Raymond to meet Bevan Ramsey (Troy Ryder) who is the latest sensation and mystic guru on the talent show circuit. In a private session, Bevan reads the Tarot for Raymond. Raymond is skeptical but affected by the experience and he leaves the session thinking of the accuracies and ideas that Bevan has revealed. Bevan returns to Fred and Nick and tells them that he has tried to plant the right seeds that will stimulate
Raymond into thinking a bit more independently than he has been doing in the past. Then he puts work aside and the three celebrate the occasion with some sex that quickly attracts the attention of Bevan's butler (Drew Andrews) who just as quickly joins in to create a foursome of hot, hard cocks and sweet, juicy holes that work together into a frenzy sweating, pounding tangled bodies that climax in floods of thick, steamy semen.
Time passes with Raymond growing increasingly discontent with his fife. Darren has moved Brad into the guest bedroom. One afternoon a stranger with car trouble appears at the door. His name is Tom (Sandy Sloane) and as he waits for a tow, he and Raymond share a conversation and discover a bond. Their conversation serves to make Raymond intensely aware of the fact that he has given up all of his goals for a relationship that has become a dead end for him. When Brad brings home Doug (Casey Morgan) and humiliates Raymond in front of him, Raymond's journey of self-awareness is complete.
Brad and Doug retire to the bedroom. Maybe casual, essentially meaningless sex is shallow and tacky but let's face it: sex with qualified strangers can be intensely exciting, mysterious, stimulating, refreshing, invigorating, renewing and a whole lot of fun and some times if s really more than it's cracked up to be. Such is the case with these two young studs as they go at each other with all the excitement of the first time and the total involvement that realizes it will also be the last time so they've got to make it good. And they certainly do that!
Later Raymond tells Darren that he is leaving. Darren tries to convince him to stay, tells him that he has asked Brad to leave, and suggests that he can make some changes. Raymond explains that he is leaving not because of them but because of himself. Darren suddenly realizes that life has moved on while he thought it was standing still.
On his way out of town, Raymond stops at the ranch where Tom is working to tell him that he is leaving. When he tells Tom that he wants to get a job and earn his own way, Tom offers the ranch as a place where he might find plenty of work--and maybe a lot more. Raymond accepts and they decide to give the more a test in the hay. It's all they'd hoped it might be. And perhaps a bit more as new love is celebrated and sealed with a kiss and all the other things that we hold so dear. Raymond discovers that the Hand Of Fate is his own and he can decide what he is going to hold with it.
In addition to the fine find named Ritchie, Hand Of Fate offers some special performers of whom you will want to take note. Newcomer Chris Rock has only done a couple of videos but he's a real pro whose performances always get you right where you live. Rod Barry is another guaranteed pleaser who knows his business and yours as well. And, of course, there is our good friend Drew Andrews. Is it possible to ever get enough of that big, thick, perfect dick? I don't think so. It's always hard and it always makes me hard too. So, join us for a Hand Of Fate. It's a one-handed game that bears repeating.
