The only North American to appear in one of Cadinot's films is Canadian Danny Brown.
Jérôme elucidates:
The title plays with two French idioms, "(en) mettre sa main au feu", which you say when you're so sure of something that you'd be willing to place your hand into the fire to vouch for it, and "mettre la main au cul (de quelqu'un)", meaning, to grab someone's ass. The latter's relevance seems obvious; the former's probably refers to Daniel Brown's deceptively innocent looks.

Cest un allumeur, un professionnel des garrigues embrasées, des fesses enflammées. Un digne fils du dieu Râ, un adepte de Vulcain et de ses coups de boutoir.

What does your Dad do? - He's an estate agent. And your mother? - She's his secretary
And you...?
Yes, well. Him.... He's a flirt, a lover of scrubs, burning butts and sizzling cocks. A son worthy of the god Ra, adept of Vulcan and his hammer blows. When he's around everything gets hot, and he's always being caught red-handed.
In summer, the Cote d'Azur catches fire! The pines are ablaze and the campers are all on heat. The fires of a hellraiser create havoc with the law!
Filmed entirely in the outskirts of Cannes, a Cadinot film which is all heat and flames!
