So familiar a visitor in our homes is video, that we often forget that it was only 1979 that consumer video first became available, living first a raw life and voice to the fading flicker of 8mm films, and then creating an entirely new way to capture and share moments with others we might not otherwise encounter. Although our first videos were shot as a personal treasure, by 1981 it was clear that they should be made available to complement the audio cassettes and photos we were already offering. VT-1 and 2 were each one hour and are incorporated as VT-1 (and the same goes for VT-3 & 4, VT-5 & 6 and VT-7 & 8) Many of the earliest models talked and posed and flexed, but did not J/O. These include Star and Doug, neither of whom appears later, either, although to see and hear them is a delight However, here in VT-1 you can also get to see for the first time, men who have continued to come around often over the past decade. Mike Glider is here for the first time. Tico is here for the first time. Larry is here for the first time. They're young and fresh and enthusiastic... and we were all genuinely innocent of what the future hold. Like time capsules, the early videos an very revealing and exciting... the beginning of a love affair which never ends.
